Electronic Cigarette Phone Interference?

The other day I was talking on my Blackberry with using a Bluetooth headset, while I was smoking an electronic cigarette.

Every time I took a drag off of it, I heard feedback through my Bluetooth headset. It was a little high pitched whirring sound, and although I asked, the person I was talking to on the other end couldn’t hear it.

I haven’t heard any sort of interference on a cell phone for years, so I disconnected my ear-piece, changed the phone yo use my speakerphone, but then I couldn’t hear anything.

Apparently there’s something about these electronic cigarettes that causes interference with a Bluetooth device?  Has anyone ever noticed that before? I only have one working BT headset right now, but the noise is pretty irritating.  Next time I lose my headset (which I do often) I’ll have to buy a different brand and see if it still happens…

Anyone else had this happen?
